Dull ache in my armpit

Have had this a few days now, its more sore than painful, there are no lumps....so hope its nothing too worrying.

I plan to go to the GP on Friday if its no better but it seems as the days go by it gets more sore and the dull ache is persisting.

Hi, I have had this a couple of times but I also had a small lump in my armpit which stayed for a couple of days and then went away. Think it was a swollen gland and that I was just really run down. Always a good idea to go to the doctor to check abnormal things out though, particularly if you are in unnecessary discomfort. Hope it goes/you get it sorted soon.

is it time of month?..i get boil type lumps when its mine?..very sore to touch!

Thanks for your replies, no its not that time of the month, just finished but I have had something similar but more in my boobs themselves when its that time. This is like a pulled muscle or something.

I would have panicked if I had a lump too. Did it scare you Snowstorm?

I think I was very aware of the lump (it was the size of a very large pea and quite near the surface and sore if you poked it ... I know ... dont poke it!) but the whole of my left armpit area was quite achey and something made me think it must be some kind of gland thing as I was feeling quite run down too. It went away completely (lump and armpit ache) after a few days so I didn't follow through with a doctors appointment. I suppose that that might not have been the most sensible course of action (not going to see my GP), in this day and age, but my gut instinct was that it wasn't sinister.

glands?

Zippetydoodahzippetyday · 19/10/2006 12:06

Oh I am always run down - am the only one in our house who catches bugs and viruses and I have two children under 7!!!!!

Its still sore today although not continuously but I am going to see the doctor tomorrow just to put my mind at rest really.

Hope your GP manages to sort it out for you or at least put your mind at rest as you say. It's not much fun being a mum when you're not feeling 100% is it? Hope it goes away soon.
