Do I take DD to docs or just ride it out?

OK i should know this .. experienced mum and all that

DD (2.5) developed rash on sat night .. looked like allergy rash (small pinprick bumps mainly on chest and back) .. no biggy

still there sun morning .. so I thought it must be viral .. was in crook of arms and slighty on face and down legs

and still there this morning .. now no redness just bumpy rash and all over body ... some big red blotches on legs

so, ride it out as its just non-specific viral? or quick trip to get it checked out?

have you tried an anti histamine - if it is an allergic reacition then the anti histamine will help and then you know its not viral IFYSWIM

have you done the glass test --- just to be overly sure?

is little one well otherwise - feverish or not? drinking, eating. weeing etc... listless or perky?

she's fine otherwise .. well a touch hot at times ... and a few listless occasions .. her eyes look dull though

my gut says don't take her .. but DH is saying I should just to check

i'd take her then , just to be double sure..esp if been hot & listless...more than likely it is a virus and yoiu'll get the fluids, paracetomal advice...but better to be safe than sorry...hope she's better soon..

My dd had something pretty much the same a few weeks back - GP just said it was a non specific viral rash. It took about 7 days to go and then her skin was rough for another week or so. It started on chest and back and spread to legs and arms.

my friend is training to be a GP and she says that they have to encourage parents to see a GP with a rash and temp

I'd def go to the doctors. I always go if I'm worried about anything! I think that I should just set up a weekly appointment as I'm down there all the time. I could just cancel it if either of them didn't need it.

didn't go .. am patently a bad mum

she doesn't have red spots anymore .. but does feel bumpy and seems to have a bad cold .. she'll be fine
