Pins and needles, discomfort and twinges down right arm?

I have had a bad shoulder (front joint part) for a while now, put it down to post baby weird joints (after DS2 I have some experience of this but it tends to go about a year later) but now it is 16 months later and started having arm pain, pins and needles, numbness and generally uncomfortable, trouble sleeping as it is uncomfortable...I feel like it might be starting in my right leg and foot too... And radiating into my neck. Wrists are also ruined, feels hard to type! What's that all about then? Carpal tunnel? Pinched nerve? What does it feel like? Should I go to doctor or Osteopath? It's really bothering me....

Osteopath - I had something similar when DD was 6-8mths. Turned out that my neck/shoulders were really seized up from hunching over feeding. Two sessions sorted me out that time and I have been going back every 9-12 mths for the past 11 years. I am actually going tomorrow and really looking foreword to a decent night's sleep tomorrow night without the numbness, pins and needles, elbow pain, etc.

I would go to a chiropractor or an osteopath. Sounds like similar to what I have had. I'm seeing a chiropractor and it is a lot better althgh I still have some tingling.

Something is pressing in a nerve or nerves. Mine is upper spine and some bony bits pressing on nerves.

GP definitely. You need a medical diagnosis before anything else.

DH has had similar in his left arm. It started a few months ago with pain appearing anywhere from shoulder to fingers, lack of strength in his hand and pins and needles, he's actually suffered pretty substantial muscle wastage in that arm though it.

He's had nerve conduction tests and an MRI and they think its a problem with a nerve in the C7 spine but we are waiting on seeing the consultant again next week.

It was explained like this...
In between the bones of the spine are 'donuts', these are the nerves. Sometimes the nerve can compress and the 'jam' squeezes out of the 'donut' which in turn causes the problem.

You really need to see a GP and hopefully be referred to a specialist.

Have been experiencing similar things though both sides including muscle wastage.

Id definitely recommend gp then possibly osteo - I have wondered in chiro caused more issues. I think you've got to be careful regarding nerves until other things have been ruled out.

In me its looking like hypermobility has a play along side hypothyroidism, possibly low b12 and ferritin.

My right arm has really suffered but mainly as I use it the most.
