Diabetic- what is 'normal' sugar levels????

Hi, can anyone tell me what is classed as an average glucose reading??????

My GP has asked me to do some glucose tests, using my parents diabetic blood test machine.

Parents are both elderly and only know what their levels should or shouldn't be.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Just checked with DH, who says between 4 and 7.
