My ds had his 1st lot of immunisations on Thursday and ended up having a bad reaction to them, he was very sleepy in the afternoon but by teatime his temp was 39 (even after calpol) and he was very listless, not responding at all really...so we ended up on the kids ward at local hospital(GP rang them up and we went straight there). All is ok now, but has this happened to anyone elses LO? what will happen as regards his next 2 lots of jabs?

TIA

They'll (as in the drs etc) will probably tell you to have them. I'd advise you to read up a lot and decide whether you want to continue or not. They used to be able to give a jab without pertussis (the bit most likely to cause the reaction), but now its all or nothing AFAIK.

You could ask to see a bone fide immunologist before having any more. Some people on mumsnet have done this- and in general found that to be helpful (some have then gone onto have the jabs, some haven't).
