Im having an op to remove a very large ovarian cyst next month, and im having it done almost like a caesarean.

Ive never had any surgery before and was wondering if it would be worth taking arnica tablets to aid healing?

Any suggestions gratefully recieved!

The jury is pretty much divided on this one. Evidence apparently suggests it is useless. However I used it pre birth both times and I advise patients to take it post operatively and am convinced it works. You need to get them from a homeopath (the ones from Boots aren't the high strength ones)

I think there is something in it. you can get it from Neal's Yard in a high strnght. (you need 200). And take it before the op and for a little while after. You can alos order it online from Helios pharmacy. Good luck

Arnica is the only homeopathic remedy that I have found to be working. A colleague of mine has just had a major op on his shoulder a repeat procedure to fix a botched job and he could not believe how much less bruising and discomfort he had compared to the first time around. Good luck.
