Can you have alcohol with this medication?

Yesterday, my lovely DP was prescribed doxycycline, aciclovor and prednisolone for sinusitis and Bells Palsy (facial paralysis), all a two week dose.
It doesn't mention on the leaflet anything about alcohol. Can anyone tell me if he's ok to have maybe the odd beer or small glass of wine over Christmas?
His mum passed away suddenly this week and he's having a bit of a torrid time. Thanks for any advice.

I don't know anything about that specific medication, but I think these days they all mention any interaction with alcohol on the leaflet if there is a reason for concern. If you/he are still worried, pop into the chemist and talk to a pharmacist - they'll know or be able to look it up.
