how to stop mooncup from squelching

I'm gearing up for my mooncup's first foray into the outside world. but, when I take it out it makes a really loud squelching. do I just have to wait until no-one's in the loos at work? and whilst I'm at it why do I have to boil my mooncup and not my diaphragm?

dunno about the diaphragm tbh. I guess it isn't in for so long.

no, they really do squelch. i have no idea about the boiling though. i have to admit, i've never boiled mine
