Crippling stomach pain and I can't move

Since I had a new implant in July, I have not had a period. Then a couple of days ago I started (fine, I'm not worried) but today I began bleeding heavily which is very unusual for me.

Then, at about 8pm tonight I started getting terrible stomach cramps and nausea. It has now been non - stop since then and is crippling. I literally can't move, not even to go downstairs to get painkillers. I have never suffered with period cramps before so i don't even know if it's what it is. It is just DD and me here and DD is fast asleep.

Stupid question I know but do cramps really come on so strong and suddenly.

I'd call NHS direct or 101 or whatever it is now, just for advice. It sounds worse than average period pain.

Urgh you need to see someone, any chance you could be pregnant and it's ectopic?

I have had similar painfrom gall stones and twisted ovary thing... both worse than labour and both needed to go to a&e. Anyone you can call?

No chance of being pregnant. The pain is across the bottom of my stomach and i literally have to breathe through the pain. It comes in every couple of minutes (i swear I'd say it was labour to anyone else if i was reading this)

will call 111 to see what they say as no chance i can sleep

Thanks defineme. Thought this was worse than labour when it got stronger after 20 mins but thought i was making a fuss of nothing.

Good luck and make sure you emphasise just how bad the pain is...10 out of 10 on pain scale. Dd will just have to go too. Let us know how you get on.

A twisted ovary or ruptured ovarian cyst can be incredibly painful. Get yourself off to A&E if the pain doesn't stop, they'll manage your pain and send you for a gyne assessment.

Hi everyone. Thank you for your well wishes.

I'm back home now having been discharged at 6am. The paramedics gave me Morphine which was great. I've been prodded countless times, together with blood and urine samples and they couldn't find a cause. The pain stopped at about 3.30am. I've been told if it happens again to go back or to doctor. As the doctor in A&E thought it was a gynae problem it seemed like he wasn't willing to do anything else.

literally walked in my front door at just before 7 and threw up all the food from yesterday. Had a works lunch and i had Salmon so my best guess is perhaps dodgy food?

Make a GP appointment and ask for a referral to gyne. If no one else mentions it then bring up the possibility of endometriosis.

And don't worry too much about the vomiting; you've been through a lot of prodding and been given opiates, abdo inflammation can also cause it - just look after yourself today.
