I'm not sure what to do with DD tommorow. She was ill all last week with a viral infection, picked up a cold during it all too. Now she seems to have shaken the infection, no more throwing up and no more temp but the cold has gotton very bad. I think because she was so worn down anyway and not very able to fight it.
I kept her off today, yesterday rather because she'd hardly slept.
I really don't want her to miss any more school, she's been off for so long already but she's been up and down again all night, she's up again now, feeling very sorry for herself and not breathing very well because she's so stuffed up.
What would you do? Keep her off until she's feeling better, despite all the time off she's already had? Or send her anyway feeling crappy!

I'll go with the majority lol

I'd keep her at home. She may not be able to shake of the cold if she's back mixing with all the other kids again. Sorry she's been so poorly. How about you get her one of those tonics for children - there's one an orange flavour which might help build her up.

Thanks Ali. I am very much leaning towards keeping her off, not least because I am getting no sleep at all myself and will be absolutely knackered tommorow!! lol
She's finally back to sleep now, but is snoring very loudly!

at 5 1/2 I wouldn't worry too much about missing school if she is ill. Perhaps you could keep up at home with a bit of reading/writing/maths. Hope she gets better soon.

I would keep her off as she probably won't learn much feeling ill. My daughter was off loads last year as she was ill about once a month until they removed her tonsils last October. I felt bad that she missing so much time, but there was no point her going when she felt so poorly.
