Hi
DS (10 months) has chickenpox three weeks ago. Having never had it as a child, it was inevitable that I would end up with it.
On Wednesday 3am I woke up having sweated through the covers and had a fever of 103. This continued all through Thursday and I alternated between shivering and sweating, all with a really high fever.
First spots appeared on Friday and I felt awful. Aches, pains, struggling to breathe (think something heavy on your chest) shakes, shivers, inability to sleep, no appetite etc.
We're now on Sunday and I am beyond miserable. Spots are everywhere, itch like buggery. Temperature has settled but breathing is still hard and now swallowing is agony. I'm assuming I've got some spots inside my throat which Is making swallowing impossible.
Do I just ride it out ? Dr gave me anti-virals and I'm using paracetamol. The swallowing is the worst- if there's nothing that can be done I don't want to bother the hospital.
I am clearly being punished for everything I have ever done wrong in my life.
Kill me.
