Silly question, but is there a website or a book that would help her? I'm having mine out the week after her, so am not much help as not sure what she should expect.

Hi Chocol8,

My DS had his tonsils out 2 weeks ago - it wasn't half as bad as I'd expected (save for 2 sleepless nights on the ward for me!)

I found a great book (recommended by another MNer) called "Goodbye Tonsils" by Juliana Lee Hatkoff. I bought it on Amazon for about £8 and it was worth it's weight in gold. I think it really helped DS picture what it would be like and so was pretty chilled when it came to the op.

Hope this helps.
