What gets rid of your bad headaches?

Since starting my new job I have been suffering really debilitating headaches-I've only ever had headaches this bad before once or twice when pregnant but I'm getting one virtually every week. It starts at the side one temple and then speeds across my skull and my whole head is pounding and I feel sick. Paracetemol and ibuprofen don't touch it and when I eventually fall asleep that night, I find it's still there in the morning!

Is there anything else I can try?

I am reading this thread with interest I too suffer from painful headaches. What do you ladies do about the resulting constipation from the meds Blush

Prunes work a treat for constipation. Get a packet of dried prunes and take half a dozen and await the result!

Could they be stress induced? I get awful headaches triggered by stress and first week into my new job I got one so bad that the gp gave me a diamorphine shot .

Trying to avoid getting stressed definitely helped me ( easier said) cocodamol is the only thing that sometimes works or sleep !

The cool head patches can be a good distraction sometimes . I can't remember what they're called though but they're quite handy
