my gran is nearly 80. After months of sickness and diarrhoea, she was diagnosed with prenicious anaemia about 4 months ago and was told she would need vitmain b12 injections every 3 months for the rest of her life. The doctor said that if the injections didn't work then he would suspect something more sinister and complicated going on inside her. Anyway, they worked to start with and she started eating again and felt a lot better. The past couple of weeks though she has gone downhill again and it wasting away. I managed to get her into the doctors this morning and they doctor examined her stomach etc and said that she is going to have to go to hospital for more tests and xrays and a barium enema. I don't know what to do now. I am sat here at the thought of losing her to something nasty.
