I don't know whats wrong with me. For the past few weeks now I have been getting worse. I am permenantly cold and shivering. My hands keep shaking and I am so tired to the point I fall asleep all the time, even though I go to bed early. I've got bruises on my arms and legs and I don't know where I have got them from. I am eating well so its not diet related. Over the weekend I felt as though I couldn't physically get out of bed. I really want to do things but I physically can't do it. I am sat here with 2 tshirts, my jumper and a jacket on and I am still shivering. I don't feel unwell otherwise and I am eating ok. My fingernails are bluey coloured as well. Any ideas? I would go to the doctot but I daresay they will just tell me that it is a virus and to just rest!

Not a doctor, so don't know all the things it could be, but one of them is anaemia. Get an appointment with your GP for a diagnosis. No point sitting at home feeling really unwell, when you may be able to get some help.
Hope you feel better soon.

I had a test for anaemia about a month ago and it was ok.

Could be your thyroid.GP today for a blood test.
Go on,phone now.

Elibean · 04/10/2006 11:21

Do go get that blood test....and don't let them fob you off, 'a few weeks' is too long!

geekgrrl · 04/10/2006 11:27

do go.
I felt crap, cold and exhausted during the holidays and my GP didn't fob me off. Getting your thyroid checked is quick and cheap for the NHS.

Go and have a blood test, it could be your thyroid- I felt alot of your symptoms, and turned out I was really ill and was hospitalised with a severe thyriod problem.
Hope its not that though!!
