Had a very horrific 3 weeks, it looked like I was going to lose my job, panic and worry, finding out I had to reapply for my own job preparing for the interview and then having the interview. I spent 3 weeks a complete bag of nerves, the 5 days leading up to the interview I had very little sleep (no more than 4 hours a night) and felt anxious I could actually be sick with it.

I was not let go and still have a job :), but since then I feel shocking, I feel completely exhausted all the time, slightly dizzy head and feel a bit low.

I am guess its because I put my body through so much and now it needs to recover, just wandering if anyone else had been through something similar and tips to help recover.

Be kind to yourself, take it easy, lots of rest and sleep. Take a sick day if you need too! (FWIW I think your employer is cruel to put you through that, so I hope you wouldn't feel guilty about taking a sick day when it's their fault you're feeling low.)

*if you need TO (not too), gah!

It's not surprising you're feeling like that after so much stress. IME it's not unusual to be able to hold yourself together through a stressful time then feel completely wrecked afterwards.

Agree that you should look after yourself & get as much rest as you can.

Sounds totally normal to me, if horrid Smile

Be very nice to yourself, give yourself as long as your mind and body need to recover...think convalescence. Yes, I've had this several times - after bereavements, after high stress times etc. Think about how people often get sick after exams are over: your body has high doses of cortisol pumped through it from the anxiety, and then bam - cold turkey.

Also, I find it helps to talk to (the right) people about whats been happening...let yourself feel what it was like, cry if you need to, get angry, whatever it is you feel. And watch lightweight TV, read lightweight books, veg, get early nights if you can.

I'm glad you kept your job x

Your adrenals have taken a pounding. It happens. The important thing now is that you allow yourself time to recover. As others have said, good food, early nights, plenty of relaxation. Look up treating adrenal fatigue (which is the next stage) with vitamin C and perhaps add a vitamin C supplement in to your daily routine.
