i am terribly tetchy, if i am doing something say laundry from utility to upstairs and something or someone starts asking/hassling for something i fly off the handle
or if dh cant see something i tell him where itis i go nuts
or dd wont not eat the meringue mixture raw and continues to poke it after i tell her she cant eat raw 100 time, i just walk away from her.
its not pmt as that just finishing but its like my heads going to burst because people arent following my logic or order, and maybe thats unfair of me to put it on them or just normal on theirs

I think it's generally called 'Irritability' or some people would just say a general side-effect of a condition called 'having a dh and small children'

hermykne · 02/10/2006 19:55

you know for years I totally poo-pooed the idea of these relaxation CDs and tapes. My mum (and dad) love all these self help books and I was just going through the loft, clearing some stuff out when I found a whole pile they had left behind on their last visit (they live overseas so we don't see them often!).

I found a relaxation CD that's I think some sort of hypnotherapy type thing and you are supposed to set aside half and hour and lie down and listen to it. My goodness, it was fab and a few days of listening to it and I did feel a sort of inner calm!!

the other thing I find that helps is that when you feel that way, to actually walk away from the situation rather than react. So step out into the garden and count slowly to ten, then go back in and try and see the funny side of it!

oh foxinsock than you , just got them off to bed so going to try and calm down.
the tapesare a great idea.
