dd is 14 months old. saturday snooty nose, slight temp and off food, sunday off food snotty nose no temp, eating a bit more, snotty nose no temp but now has a rash on torso, pimple like.

done glass test and it disappeared. nose is more bunged up now and not running.

are these just run of the mill viral rashes, or is it unusual to get a rash and should be investigated by GP. she is not itching, she suffers from excema (which normally flares up when ill but hasn't this time)...she is weell in her self, not sensitive to light and now asleep.

any advice. should i keep checking rash overnight?

thank-you for advice

sounds like viral rash, has she had any injections in last 2weeks?

Piffle · 02/10/2006 19:54

I'd say post viral rash- but if her temp was up I'd call the GP straight away

Kidstrack · 02/10/2006 19:56

pimple rash is good sign of viral rash, just have baby monitors up at high level or have her in with you, just keep checking temp and offer sips of water

I am not a doctor (!) but I I would say that if her temp has gone down and she seesm to be improving in other areas, she is probably OK. The glass test is pretty conclusive I think.
