How long before tummy bugs show?

Dd and I had dinner with a friend and her dd last Wednesday evening. They've both come down with a very nasty-sounding tummy bug over the weekend. If we were to get it do you think it would've showed by now?

i think it would have shown by now, yes. Be surprised if it ever took more than 48 hours, usually more like just a couple of hours, really.
