Horrible nappy rash again...

DD is teething again and as per usual has diahorria which of course means a very sore bottom. I am using metanium on it and leaving her in cloth nappies but without the wraps but as soon as you have to clean it it starts to bleed again. So is there anything else I can do about it?? Cant leave her completely nappyless due to the trots and her only being 9mths so poo would be everywhere. I am changing her as soon as I know she has dirtied the nappy even if it is just damp. At what point do I think of getting something stronger from gp as it is bleeding and she screams when you touch it.

I've used drapolene it has antiseptic in it. It says it doesn't block the action of one way nappy liners. It's always worked quickly on the ds's when they were younger.

Take her to GP if left it could get infected as open wounds, this happened to my DD when little.

y dd had this - doc told us to use metanium and sudocrem mixed together - cleared it up in no time. Her skin was broken and small parts bleeding also.

Eidsvold how long did it take when mixing the two together??? Do I try that and then see how she is by tommorow..if no joy take her to walk in centre?? I must say it does seem a lot less sore this morning compared to yesterday..she did cry when cleaning it but didnt do the absolute shaking in pain bit.

Poor little love. dd had this once - really nasty.
I was told to use metanium and vaseline together, and it did the trick - the metanium healed and cleansed, the vaseline protected against further infection/damp. I think I put the metanium on first, then a layer of vaseline, and did it with every nappy change.
If that doesn't help, I would go to the GP and get advice - can't hurt.
Hope she feels better very soon!
