Anyone paid for a Flu jab this year?

If so where did you go? I was pregnant last year and had one for free. Am keen to buy one for myself this year as have have surgery scheduled in November which I'd like to stay well for so it doesn't get postponed - and two snotty children don't exactly help! I thought Sainsbury's did it but can't seem to get any info.

We get it done at our GP - we buy the jab from the pharmacy, make an appointment with the nurse and she does the actual injecting.

You can get it at Tesco round our way too, but they won't do the kids.

Thanks. It would just be for me. DS1 will get the nasal one in a few weeks anyway as he is 3. So you are actually handed a vial of the stuff? I can't imagine my GPs offering that service - haven't seen anything about it in their info. There also seems to be a lack of any info on which supermarkets / chemists are offering it here in darkest Shropshire. Sigh.

No, our GP don't advertise it, but they are happy to do it. There is a pharmacist attached to the surgery, they give us the doses in a little box. We take them to nurse Beryl and hey presto Grin

We do it every year after a horrible bout of full wiped out Christmas a few years back.

Our asda (with a pharmacy) does them and it was the best price locally. Boots also did them. You just have to wait a few weeks until they come in and you should see them advertised.

Omnicare did my DD's for 8.50.

Asda £7, Sains £9 I think. I need to book mine!

babyfedleaning · 07/10/2014 19:20

Thanks. Do you know if they're available now or am I too early?
