Itchy scalp, any ideas?

I have been struggling over the last few weeks with pesky nits.

I combed through every day for a fortnight and then used hedrin. They are due for the second shot of it tomorrow.

I have still been coming through every day and not had anything except a few eggs.

But dd2's scalp is still very very itchy, she is always scratching, i have just had another look and combed through and she is clear, but, I have noticed a few spots on her scalp that look quite red.

She has none anywhere else.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Poor mite is fed up of me coming at her with the bugbuster kit (I find this better than nitty gritty)

psoriasis - causes red patches and dandruff-like flakes...

How about tea tree shampoo. If you could get a mild one that might help. It does with me when I get an itchy scalp. Why not phone your HV to see if she can suggest anything. It maybe the Hedrin is irritating a bit if she's been scratching anyway.
