Dental pain after deep clean

Sorry if in wrong place didn't know where to post!! I have a dental phobia but after breaking a tooth and being in extreme pain I went to the dentist who arranged a deep clean. The broken tooth was given a temp filling as the tooth needs extracting and I'm still experiencing mild pain if I touch or clean tooth. But since I've had the deep clean my bottom teeth hurt as well as my jaw and occasionally my ear!! Its a mild continuous ache with the odd painful twinge and the pain seems more centred on the teeth that had the deep clean. I've been flossing ,brushing my teeth and using expensive mouth wash!!! Does any-one know if this is normal a month after a deep clean or do I need to visit the dentist again?

Is the pain definitely in the teeth? I've recently had similar and the dentist explained that my jaw muscles are in spasm and is what is causing the pain in my jaw, ear, neck and head. Hes sending me for a scan so we can get a better picture of what's going on

thanx for replying - I'm not 100% sure where the pain is coming from as it seems to be a general ache in the area where I had the work done - I forgot to mention that I grind my teeth in my sleep but as its never caused pain before I'm assuming its not causing pain now, I've been given a mouthguard to wear overnight and although I'm still trying to get used to sleeping with it I've perservered.
Maybe I need to re-visit dentist - its the worrying thought that I can tolerate the pain now kind of but worried dentist will make it worse!!!!

It might be the grinding. I grind my teeth and on occasion have done this so hard at night that it caused toothache. In fact I fractured a tooth I ground so hard. Persevere with the mouth guard, mine does really help.
