Sore ear/jaw pain but dr says no infection

Can anyone help me? I have a sore ear and my jaw/throat is sore or
More uncomfortable I would say. I went to the dr this morning and he said he cannot see anything? My temperature is fine and glands are not swollen.. Why am I feeling sore then? Could it be my teeth even though I don't have toothache?
Thanks in advance
X

There's a big difference between your jaw and your throat! which is it?

I'm wondering if you grind your teeth at night? I know I do when I'm stressed and I can wake up with a sore jaw, which might spread to the ear.

I'm pretty sure it's more my jaw that's sore and my ear..
Don't grind my teeth or not that I know of ??

I get something like you describe every now and then. Sore ear and jaw but not temperature.

My GP said that there is a tube that runs from the throat to the ear, it swells (possible viral infection) and that is what causes the pain. I do sometimes get a sore throat with it too.

It goes on its own within a week or two.

Ok thanks for your message. Think I will just have plenty of fluids and paracetamol

Well after a few nights of no sleep I decided to go to my dentist to check all was ok since dr couldn't see anything and the pain is being caused by my wisdom tooth. They have packed it with antibiotics and I am awaiting an appointment to go to hospital to get it removed!
