Any adults on here suffer with nervous tics/tremors?

I seem to have recently developed what I can only describe as some sort of head tremor. I suffer from anxiety and recently started having strange symptoms when making eye contact with people, particularly people I know (not family). I am having sort of a build up of pressure in my head and neck which I cannot control and this expresses itself as a head twitch. It is really embarrassing and I don't know why it has suddenly appeared. I have started avoiding social situations as it happens whenever I am in a small group or one to one and it makes me blush too and feels like I am out of control (a sort of panic attack). I also feel slightly dizzy at times but don't hyperventilate or anything like that. I am pretty sure it is a pretty extreme form of social anxiety although I have always been shy and an introvert this is something completely new.

Dr has prescribed me propranolol which is useless and hasn't worked the few times I have taken it. I cannot control it and it sort of forces itself out every few minutes. I'm wondering if it is actually social anxiety/panic attack or if it could be something physical/neurological, rather than a physical manifestation of something emotional?

Does anyone else have anything like this? What was it, what caused it and did you manage to get rid of it (and if so, please tell me how!). I need to be able to speak to people without having a nervous breakdown.
