2 year old suddenly developed cradle cap, normal?

He has never had it but suddenly over last week I have noticed a patch right where cradle cap would be. scaly, stuck on. is this normal?

Dd had cradle cap at 5 - it's not unusual to get it at this kind of age, apparently.

Olive oil will soften it, then remove it with a comb.

I don't wish to alarm you, and hopefully someone else will post and say "you're talking rubbish its just a coincidence" but ...

My son has only had cradle cap twice. Both times coincided with him getting head lice. Is it possible that the two are linked ?

My dd got cradle cap when she was 3or 4, it turned out the Spanish nursery she was at were brushing her hair and putting cologne on it! Have you changed shampoo?
