how long until periods return??...

Morning all

Just a quick question
My DD is 14 weeks old and Im BF, just wondering how long until my periods come back?
Also did other people get wierd fluttering feelings like when the baby first starts kicking and period like cramps every so often? (deffo not pg again btw!)

exactly what i want to know, ds is 10 weeks, stopped breastfeeding when he was 6 weeks!!

yes i get the feelings you describe. just like I'm pregnant .

My periods returned when Ds1 was 7 1/2 months. Thsi time Ds2 is 9 1/2 months & they havent started yet. I'm quite happy as i dont plan to conceive again.Couldnt care if I never had another period again. Hate 'em

I hear you there I hate periods always had REALLY heavy painful periods Gynacologist reckons that they should "settle" down once Ive had a baby....We'll see!
Glad other people get that pregnant feeling too! Was beginning to worry

I had that pg feeling too and actually did a test just in case!(even though it was extremely unlikely!)

Mine returned exactly a month after I reduced the breastfeeds down to two a day.

I fed 2x day from 6.5mth until my milk dried up at 10.5mths and af arrived about a month later.

My DD is 14 weeks old and my period came back yesterday. I thought something hormonal might be afoot because my hair started falling out a couple of weeks ago. I am still breastfeeding, though, and had hoped to get more period-free time.

The upside is that before I had DD I used to get terrible cramps for about 5 days before my period started. This time, no pain at all!

Mine have just started again, dd is 13 months. It is awful. Yesterday i could not move, i ached all over and lay on the floor for two hours when it was really bad. Thought I had flu as I had never felt so ill in my life, hadn't considered periods, had forgotten all about them! Felt fine today then got my period so I must have been weirdly premenstural. I've never really felt pre-menstrual in that way before. Anyone else had a similar experience? Does it get any better?

Mine started 6 weeks after dd was born, on my birthday I was breastfeeding too.

My DS2 is 20 mths old. I stopped bf nearly a fortnight ago. I haven't had a period since May 2004!!!

Just waiting for their eventual return (not pregnant or menopausal honest)

I had a tiny amount of very dark blood about 6 weeks after having my son (lasted about 2 days, no pains or clots) but nothing since. (He's 14wks now, and also b/fed) I did wonder if i was pregnant, but definately not. Looks like they'll just be irregular, if at all.
