Recommend a free sleep-inducing meditation to download?

I'm having real trouble getting to sleep (and staying asleep) and someone suggested trying a guided meditation thing aimed at getting you to sleep. However I'm getting overwhelmed with the choice on YouTube. Also, I'm really tired so can't make decisions!

Can anyone recommend something? I don't want music, I want words, and not too cheesy ones, or I'll laugh or get wound up instead. iTunes would be ideal but other formats might be okay.

Thank you

The Natal Hypnotherapy people do a non-pregnancy relaxation CD you can also download. Very good. Not for going to sleep specifically but usually has that effect:

Woman has lovely soothing and not funny voice, with words.

Poor you, insomnia is horrible.

HeadSpace free app. I have terrible insomnia and I fall asleep after 5 mins of it. I think you're meant to stay awake for whole thing but hey ho

Sorry, it's not free I'm afraid. Just read your post properly.

Andrew Johnson does loads of apps, his deep sleep one is really good.

I use the 'sleep easily' free sleep meditation with Shazzie. It works for me.

I find Meditation Oasis good. There is feint background music though on the ones I've heard.

Lots of their meditations are free, some you pay for. There are free ones on itunes
