Hello all, my dd had her bcg about a monthto six weeks ago. Last week it went all pussy and two days ago it burst (not nice), now it seems to have scabbed over again, but it looks like it is going to burst again. Please tell me this is normal.

Thanks

yes I think so, the idea is you want some kind of reaction. Unfortunately she will have a scar but then most people do. Just out of interest why did your daughter have to have a BCG? (If you don't mind me asking)

of course i don't mind you asking (she is 16 weeks old). Her father is South African so she is classed as a high risk baby, bless her!

Hi, My two had them at birth. First one no probs. but second one had pussy bump and scabs at 10ish weeks later. Took to doctor who diagnosed impetigo and gave me AB cream to apply. DD was otherwise fine, so I would watch the area and if it stays red and scabby go to the doctors.

Hope this helps. they do scar but most people have some scars. The older one is very proud of hers!!
