fishing for sympathy (kidney stones)

Am in hospital with suspected KS. Not bad today (last night was agony!) but kept in waiting for a scan. Then tonight pain started again. Had morphine but it's not helped much. Waiting on a doctor to see if I can have anything else and feeling sorry for myself. Anyone prepared to give me some sympathy?

Sympathy!
I've had a yearly KS, but my first was worst- you learn which foods kick them off and you also learn to drink litres of water everyday.

Try and catch the stone and have it analysed, it may help you avoid making others. I cannot eat foods rich in oxalate like spinach, asparagus, Brussels sprouts and canbage, and iron tablets (especially floradix) eating rasberries and other acidic berries like strawberries seem to winkle them out of the tubes.
I get an attack about 8 hours after eating berries.

They'll X-ray you to see where the stone/s is and how big. I have a few in the tubes, waiting to come out, so I avoid strawberries unless I want an attack.

Have you been puking your guts up? Are you on a drip?
Do you have a tiny sieve to pee through?
Ask for more pain relief, and a quiet dark room.

Hope it passes soon and you're ok.

Had a scan today. No signs of stones but looks like a twisted ovary. I shouldn't have but I looked up Dr Google. Am now terrified. Really don't like needles and the thought of surgery scares the bejeezuz out of me
