Sick and tired of being sick and tired

Looking for some advice/experiences. Ever since having my daughter last year I have been ill so many times it is ridiculous. Sore throats that I can't shake, infections, stomach bugs. I have literally been more ill in one year than in the other 33 of my life! I've just stopped breast feeding and I'm ill again has anyone else found this? Any tips? Really fed up now!
I am tired all of the time, just want a day where I feel normal. I'm on paroxetine for severe PND so wonder if that is partly to blame?

Oh poor you...

It sounds as if your immune system has taken a real battering.
I think the only things that are going to help- and it won't be an instant fix- are good food, rest and some exercise.

I doubt if the drugs are to blame, TBH.

Are you getting decent sleep? Are you eating well- lots of fruit and veg, oily fish, good oils etc?

Sorry if this is cliched but it's probably the only thing that will help long term.

Acidophilus supplements will build your immune system.

Magnesuim and D-Ribose supplements will increase increase your energy without the boom and bust of sugar.

L-theanine supplements will reduce anxiety and depression.

I highly recommend going sugar free too for the same reason above.

You can buy all these off the internet.

I gurarentee they will help enormously Thanks

Have you had your thyroid tested?

parttimer79 · 09/09/2014 20:22

Thanks folks. I've not had my thyroid tested but am going to Dr for a check up this week so will see what they say. I'll look into the supplements suggested.
