Yes I have had this following the births of first two but not on third. Felt like there was a bone in the way, or something. But didn't happen after third. Now I find that at certain times of my cycle, ie when I am not ovulating, I am quite dry and need to use a lubricant.

Pain can be caused by different things. Do you have an infection, eg thrush or something else?

vvvvvvv · 22/09/2006 21:49

yeah i do have thrush but i dodnt think that can course the pain? thats good to no thanks but i have had that before and it never caused pain? i think im pregnant can that cause it.

If you are really concerned about this pain, I suggest you go along to your local GUM or sexual health clinic - if you ring NHS Direct they will tell you where your nearest one is. It could be any number of things, and the only way of finding out is to get it checked by a doctor.

vvvvvvv · 23/09/2006 12:30

its not a s.t.d ive been checked not so long ago so maybe its just thrush im gonna go along to the docs mon.

Pain during intercourse can also be suggestive of endometriosis.

merrily · 23/09/2006 12:44

Sexual health clinics don't just check for STDs. There are other a number of other conditions that might cause pain during intercourse.

I hope your GP can help you - but if not, then it's definitely worth going along to a clinic to get yourself checked out.

vvvvvvv · 23/09/2006 12:45

and what does that mean then?the pain is in my tummy when pushed to hard i know this might sound nasty but it only herts in some positions.

Have a look at this....this might be your problem...someone just said something about this on the Pg thread...and I had a look at it and remembered a friend of mine suffering and needing treating, as not only was it painful for her, but it also seemed to stop her falling pg....
