That's it basically - not infected (yet) but don't know if it's something you leave or get seen to before it becomes a problem?

Advice please!

Is it actually embedded in the skin and/or red or irritated?

Perhaps an optician could advise - is there one near you?

Thank you both for replying. Do you think it's an optician thing rather than a GP thing then. It's not red/sore at the moment, I gues I thought maybe someone would come on and say 'oh that's perfectly normal and just happens from time to time, leave it'! But since no-one has I think I'll have to take him to get checked out.

My ds2 had an eyelash that sort of bent over, was fine for a couple of days then startedto get sore - medical advicewas hold him down, use lots of water to swoosh it out. He fought and screamed but we managed it quitequickly and I think it was less traumatic for usto do it at home than it wouldhave been with strangers in casualty aftera 4 hourwait orsomething. Good luck!

ds had this when he was about 12 months, in the outside corner of his eye. it looked really uncomfortable but wasn't irritated - he didn't notice at all and it grew out in a fortnight or so. hope your ds's does the same.
