anything i can do for 3 1/2 week old with a cold?

she is snuffly and full of green snot, and her poo is a bit more runny than usual (she is bf) but doesnt seem unhappy in herself.

i have put a foam wedge under the matress of her moses basket to raise her head and chest. is there anything else i can do? looked at karvol etc but says 3 months plus.

As long as she is managing to feed well and seems happy in herself I wouldn't worry too much. Biggest problem is when their nose is stuffy and they then can't breathe whilst feeding!

I bought a humidifier and it did help.

You could try a 'snucker' - can't remember which MNetter christened it that but basically a snot sucker - they sell them in boots among other places.

Run bathtaps or shower. Shut bathroom door. Sit in steam with baby.

"Snucker" is what I meant lol like this . Try a local chemist.

a bowl of vicks with hot water in the room???
