Hi forum. Gavnt been on here in a while as ive been doing amazing with my health anxiety since I started my tablets. Aug last year found under my jaw. Small hard and mobile. I panicked myself into a horrible wirl wind for months refusing to get mmylump checked. Anyways time went on lump didnt grow so I found new things to worry about. Till tonight when I woke up really hot and sweaty and remebered about night sweats is a sign of lymphoma!!! I ran out the house crying to my mams in a full on panic attack. But now that ive calmed a and thought my lump havnt grew or changef in over a year. If it was sinister would it not have changed by now?????

When I've seen the doc about odd lumps over the years, they've always reassured me that it's mobile, and therefore unlikely to be anything sinister.

And anyone can wake up hot and sweaty on a single night.

DO you have any support for your health anxiety?

Night sweats are also a symptom of anxiety. Even if you weren't anxious before you woke up sweating it sounds like anxiety is pretty close to the surface... It's probably just a gland that's gone up and stayed up. If you went to a GP they would tell you to keep an eye and see if it grows. It hasn't grown.

I wake up sweating (usually during a dream) about four times a year. I don't class myself as having night sweats (and I, too, have a small lump under my chin that hasn't grown!)
