Embarrassing vagina boil. Natural remedy ideas or antibiotics?

So so embarrassed but need advice. So I have been having thrush issues just lately and just won't clear up. It now seems I gave a vaginal boil. Lucky me! doctor said probably come as result of thrush etc. so gives me 10 days of antibiotics.

But do I need to take them? Any other experience of this and natural remedies anyone? I have ibs and have been very ill with it since March and just stabilising. Last thing I need is an upset stomach which is bound to happen and of course the joy of yet more thrush which will come from antibiotics.

I'm going out tomorrow for day so holding fire on antibiotics regardless. Any thoughts or ideas either way gratefully received. Thank you thank you.

You don't say where the boil is, but I've recently had two small ones on the inner surface of the labia majora.

The first one got to the size of a small pea then popped on its own; the second when I was examining it with a small hand mirror.

I can see why you'd want to avoid the antibs. Could you try a warm salty bath or cloth with warm saltwater applied to the area?

Warm salty bath and hot compresses. I find a good blob of savlon cream over night usually speeds things up so to speak

If it gets worse or you feel poorly with it then take the anti biotics with some acidophulous tablets.

Thank you dame and tonguetwist. I've put some diluted tea tree on it tonight will try the salty bath in the morning then. I'm worried about it bursting and spreading from what I've read on line. It's on the labia Minorca I think!

And sorry if tmi but is it ok to have sex when you have one? Doctor said yes but fact he just wanted to pour antibiotics straight down my neck didn't fill me with confidence

Would you really want to have sex with thrush and a vaginal boil? Is your partner bring treated for thrush as well? Personally I wouldn't! I think the reason the doctors prescribe anti biotics is because they can't suggest during in a hot bath and popping with a sterilised needle
