any recommendations on what to do with him? we've got a dr's apt this morning as I want to just make sure it's nothing else more serious, got calpol and nurofen stocked up but was thinking vick possibly or the tixylix stuff? (would rather not medicate but obviosuly will if needbe)

he's not so much snuffly as more dry cough and sneezey.

raise one end of cot with books etc to enable his breathing to be easier

i use kids olbas oil sprinkled on a muslin tied to the cot bars

i dont like the baby balsalm stuff

for the cough - baby meltus - FAB stuff

and if you are really desperate for some sleep.... medised!!!

I got him the albus, vix and some benalyn, (our tescos doesn't have much range for the syrups) his breathing at teh mo seems to be ok - bit heavy runny nose has started so i'm sure it's just a cold but want to be certain iycwim as it's his first one. (seems it's going about thou)

thanks for the tip re the muslins, I was wondering how I could add some off that olbus to his sheet without doing the matress!
