My friend (coughs nervously) wants to know if it would be okay if she had a glass of wine tonight if she is taking antibiotics.
The poor lamb has been having a very stressful week and really deserves a small glas - what do you think????

I think it's not recommended. I have done it myself in the past and it made me feel very strange, in an unpleasant way.

My DP is a pharmacist and he says go for it! Won't do you any harm

The only one I know of that you shouldn't drink with is Flagyl or metronidizole. Hope she feels better soon!

you're not also pretending to be on antibiotics while actually pg are you? Or your "friend"?

suedonim is right... any antibiotic apart from metronidazole will be fine with a glass of wine

metronidazole will make the drinker VERY sick...it is similar in structure to Antabuse, which is sometimes given to alcoholics who want to kick the habit

Dont drink on Flagyl - I did once (student) - was one of the worse nights of my life!
