How often is 'leakage' of both bottom types normal?

I've namechanged because I'm so humiliated and shaken.

Over the past few months, I've been exhausted - barely able to manage the house, etc. Underactive thyroid, now being fixed. But worse is the endless leakage I'm facing - peeing almost every time I get off the sofa, leaking when I get out of bed, you name it.

The worst is, frankly, fecal. I get one urge to go, painfully, and I get a second or two to make it to the loo before the shit comes out, whether I like it or not. I now can't leave the house without emptying out bladder and bowels, and am careful to check there's a toilet wherever I'm going to.

Last weekend in the park was the worst yet. Really relaxed listening to jazz by the bandstand, I had an ice cream with friends and then wandered home through the grass. Then the urge came. Thanks be I was wearing a long dress as the stools just plopped out as I walked.

This sort of bowel incontinence has happened three times in six months.

This isn't ok is it?

Hello shaken

I hope you're going to go to your GP for help. First time I've read this thread since my late night quick reply.

No one should have to suffer this. There is help out there.

And I'm sorry I added 'if this is real' at the beginning of my post.

Personally I'd recommend pads and close fitting pants to keep them in place ,as opposed to pants .

If it's any comfort I once had to walk home from Lidls with my jacket tied round my waist and my trousers tucked into my socks . And pushing my mother ( blissfully unaware ) in a wheelchair . Which now I come to think of it was probably good luck as tends to draw the eye away from the pusher .

Hope you can get things sorted . meanwhile Tena is your friend .
