I have a swelling reaction to wasp stings and usually find it takes several doses of antihistamine to bring the swelling down.
A couple of years ago one also got infected though, so perhaps its worth a visit to the gp to check this isn't the case for you.

Personally, I'd go and get it checked out - if you take a look at this you'll see my recent experience of a bite that turned nasty. 11 days and 3 lots of antibiotics later and I'm only now really able to bear weight and walk properly.

What Rock warns is serious.

With the sting I had that needed AB's, I'd actually gone to see the nurse about something else. When she saw the site of the sting she sent me into the drs straight away.

Looking back now there were red lines tracking out, but I just thought it wad redness because of the swelling.

I agree with Rock. OH reacts badly to mosquito bites and usually ends up with an infection. An infected joint is more serious so please see your doctor.
