Severe nausea with periods

Since the birth of DC3 I have been getting morning-sickness-style nausea in the week leading up to my periods. It's to the point where each time I'm spending days at a time walking around the house retching and questioning whether I'm pregnant again (even though it's happened 10 periods in a row! Not a quick learner Smile)

My periods are heavy but have always been that way, and I get some cramps on day 1 and 2 that are quite uncomfortable but not unbearable. I'm otherwise pretty fit and healthy.

The doctor wasn't all that helpful, apparently having conceived 3 times relatively quickly rules more things out, and we'll wait and see if it settles and get some blood tests next cycle. But this is awful! Any experiences?

You can take Motiliuim 10 from OTC for nausea. May be give that a try. Reflexology or acupuncture might be something alternative to try. It must be miserable for you.

Feel for you. I get nauseous just before period but not during.

Can you see another doctor, it must be awful for you.

Thank you kittykat and mizu! I've got an appointment with a different GP for next time and am looking at whether diet or anything else might make a difference (and also working on DH to convince him that pregnancy might be the ideal solution, but he is Confused at the thought of 4, so will look at alternatives in the meantime Smile)
