montelukast (singulair) and odd/ v scary dreams

Has any had odd dreams while on this stuff?

I take it for my allergy induced asthma and I feel great! Well apart from not sleeping particularly well due to bad dreams!

Its great being able to breathe again, but I would like sleep too!!

I do have anxiety issues which did affect my dreams, but under treatment for that.

Any thoughts?

Singulair is quite well known for some horrible side effects, nightmares being one of them.

There is a closed group on FB called "Making the side effects of singulair aware to parents of children & teens". Although it's aimed at parents, they are open to anyone and very welcoming.

There will be posters who can advise you if you want to come off it, and what to suggest to your GP to try instead.

My ds was on it and had horrific side effects which still haven't gone away despite being off it for over two years. It's a scary drug, and drs tend to be sceptical about its side effects.
