I noticed several small spots on ds last night, on his back sides, chest and bum, a few more have appeared today, but he's absolutely fine in himself. my MIL says he could be allergic to the antibiotics he's just finished for an ear infection, but im not convinced. Also, if it is chicken pox, is it dangerous for my 4 week old to catch it?

If you are breastfeeding your 4 week old will still be protected by your immune system. (Assuming you've had chicken pox yourself) Or so I've been told. The poxspots start on the torso and then spread all over the body. Bicarb in the bath seems to help with the itch. (Don't use soap or anything like that as it will aggravate itchyness) We got through quite alot of calpol also. Hope ds is only one to get in your family
