shooting abdo pains?

dp has intermittent sharp shooting pains in right lower tummy from appendix area down and across to just above penis. Area aches but is not tender to touch. He is nauseous and headachy. Going to loo doesn't relieve symptoms. wee doesn't sting. He is too much of martyr to go to doc so is at work feeling 'odd'! any clues?

instead of him being a martyr get him to the diocs as it could be serious

dont wanna worry you, but i had a ruptured appendix when i was 13, and the pain was exactly the same...i just felt 'sick' and when i eventually was sick it was green....like lime green...if this happens to him you must take him to docs/hosp......i do hope i'm wrong and its just chronic constipation....that can be agony in the same area too (lower right)

thanx - think thats my gut feeling really(no pun intended!)but wouldn't he yelp when i push the appendix site? he's not constipated and pain not going - he's v uncomfortable and getting worse. i will be firm!

i dont recall any pain when abdomen was pressed by doctor in the initial stages....maybe thats why they gave me the wrong diagnosis (told my parents it was Gastroenteritis).....so i still wouldn't rule it out....just dont leave it too long. and i wouldnt even bother with the gp if you are really concerned....just go to A&E....if your gp is anything like mine, you wont get seen for a bloody week!!
