cant remember precisely YG, its definitely under 30mins, probably under 20! So quick!!

The faffing about beforehand takes longer!

mrs2shoes · 13/09/2006 22:00

it is very quick but they have to go to recovery

TOD · 13/09/2006 22:24

Op takes about 10 mins but time in recovery varies.....maybe another 10 to 20 mins depending on the child...its all very fast!

it's really quick, not even worth getting a cooked breakfast from the cafeteria. (am sadly partial to hospital cafeteria cooked breakfasts)

Good luck, I hope you don't have to hang around on the ward all day waiting for your slot.

15 minute op for two grommets.

dd1 had 2 grommets, tonsils and adenoids out and all up it was about 45 minutes and we were called to recovery the minute she came out of surgery.
