Anybody experienced / know anything about mild prolapse?

Might be TMI, but here goes...

I gave birth 17 weeks ago, and managed to get myself a nasty 3rd degree tear. Had to be stitched under epidural after having the natural birth i wanted!

Have been getting a few pains from lady bits in the last week, and finally investigated with a mirror yesterday to find something not quite right at all. It looked like a growth at the bottom of the vagina.

Went to the docs yesterday, and she said it was a mild prolapse and to do pelvic floor exercises. Basically its something which belongs on the inside which has popped out cos the pelvic floor isn't strong enough to hold it in.

She said that if pelvic floors still haven't helped in a month to go back and they might have to consider surgery...

Just wondered if anyone else has had it, and whether it 'popped back' of its own accord?

you have to do pelvic floor exercises. mine isnt as bad as it was, but dont want surgery right now for it. its not a problem, its not sore or rubbing and i am not incontinant with it. you can get 'weights' to help with strengthing pelvic floor. not something i have looked into just yet either.

Hiya,

Thanks bamboo for those links, have read thru them and got some really good information from them.

I thought there must be a place to search for previous posts, but i couldn't spot where to look. I'm fairly new to this site you see...

Mine isn't too bad either misdee, it doesn't hurt or anything... Just found it scary to find something there which isn't normally there!! Reading the other posts has put my mind at ease tho...

Am doing PFEs every time i feed dd, as its a good reminder to do the every day!! Will just be patient and see if they have any effect

Thank you for your help guys, its made me feel a lot happier about it
