protein blood and lucokzides in urine

Hey the past week iv been having pains just below my ribs getting worse after i eat so last night i went to my out of hours gp and he said my urine was full of protein blood and lucoksides(sorry about the spelling) he prescibed me antibiotics but im just worried what could it mean that these are showing in my urine iv also just had a baby 3 weeks ago

It means you have an infection in your urine. Don't worry they are very common, especially when you've just had a baby. Your GP has given you the right treatment and the antibiotics should clear it up.

Yup. Infection. Did gp send a sample off for culture? Should really have done this. If not, don't panic as the abx you are on may clear it. But if you still have symptoms after finishing the course, or they come back go to gp again and insist that this time they do send a sample off.

Lucocites are white blood cells BTW. These fight infection, so if your urine contains them, you have an infection.

Yep it's a water infection, antibiotics should do the trick. Congratulations on the your new baby
