Pain in breast but no lump - should I be concerned?

I keep getting a pain I can only describe as a sharp tugging sensation in my left breast.

It comes in waves, isn't there constantly and I can't find a lump. The nipple hasn't changed, there's no puckering, no discharge from nipples etc.

I don't know whether to be concerned. My sister has had breast cancer (diagnosed 2 years ago & she's just out the other end of it, finished herceptin but is on tamoxifen).

I know basic common sense says "go to GP" but I have no symptoms that would be typical, have I?

I'm waiting to see a gynae re: cysts on my uterus & wondered if there may be a connection.

Does anyone have any advice? Usually I discuss health worries with my family but 5 weeks ago my brother's wife was diagnosed with breast cancer (she's had surgery, waiting on chemo, whereas my sister had chemo then surgery) and I don't want to cause them any further anxiety.

Thanks for any advice.

Definitely mention it, especially because of your sister.
Maybe post on the Tamoxifen thread for advice?

Thanks coco for replying.

It may be a few weeks before I see my GP anyway due to holidays etc.
