DD2 Won't stop vomiting.. Help!!

Hi, Am getting quite concerned with dd2 and just wanted to know if vomiting for more than 24 hours is serious?? She started yesterday morning and carried on throughout the night and just had a wee heave now (caused by lack of food)although I have given her plenty of fluid. How long do you think I should leave it before going to the gp?? Anyone?

If she's under a year, definitely go to gp.
If she is older, but still can't keep water down, I would call when they open anyway tbh.

She's 3.9 years and doesn't appear to be bringing back all the fluids she takes. it's just the lengh she has been sick for which is worrying, as with both dd's when they are poorly it usually lasts one morning and by the afternoon they are usually both ok.
