Another period 4 days after last one finished?

Hi, posted this in chat but no response:

Hi, I have a 26/27 day cycle, very regular, and my period lasts 3 and a half - 4 days. While I've had old spotting after ovulation before, I've never had this. New blood, day 8 and 9 so far of cycle, after 4 days of nothing. Light to medium flow.

I've checked online, and it's a weekend so no doctor (though I'm not worried enough for that), everything points to use of contraception or post-coital bleeds. Neither is remotely relevant for me! Had a baby over 3 years ago, periods returned (and regular) when LO was 6 mo and I BF until 18 months. So long enough ago for those hormones not to be the cause.

I'm just 35, if age is relevant.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Go to the docs. It could be that you have a vascular cervix which can cause bleeding. It's not at all serious and is very common, the GP can examine you and see. They can also do a smear, if you're not up to date.

It may also be hormones, if the doc doesn't know the answer try taking some agnus castus,it can help regulate your hormones.

It may also be a one off!
